HOW TO MEASURE

When measuring yourself, if possible, do so in front of a mirror to ensure the most accurate measurements. Use these measurements as a guide and add extra allowance based on your preferred fit.

BUST - Measure around your chest, at the fullest part of your bra. Ensure the tape measure is even and horizontal across your shoulder blades.

WAIST - Measure around the smallest part of your waist, this is usually a centimetre or so above your belly button. Wrap the tape measure around, ensuring it's comfortable but not loose.

HIP - Measure around the fullest part of your bottom or top of thighs, whichever is the widest. Make sure the tape measure is close to your body, but don’t pull too tight.

PANT LENGTH - Our pant length measurement is taken from the top of the outer side seam down to the hem, including the waistband.

Notes from Our Designers

We designed a longline version of the Lainey Short because we wanted a denim short that felt relaxed through the hip and thigh without adding bulk. The slightly longer length and wide hem give real coverage and confidence, and the tucked stitch detail running down the centre front and back leg adds a quiet structure that makes the shape feel intentional. A button closure, zip fly and belt loops keep everything looking and functioning like a proper denim short, while the front pockets are deep enough to actually use.

The fabric is a soft stretch denim that moves with you rather than against you, which made it an easy decision for a new silhouette we knew needed to work across a wide range of bodies. The stretch content means you get the look of a classic dark wash denim with far more comfort throughout the day, whether you are on the beach, running errands or heading into lunch. We see it working equally well tucked with a linen shirt or worn loose, and that versatility was very much front of mind when we developed this one.

These shorts are really comfortable and go with a lot of the adrift tops. I love the extra length in them compared to the other shorts.
